About Megan
Welcome!
I’m Megan Bayles (bay-less) Bartley, MAMFT, LMFT, Founding Director of The Mindfulness Center.
Over the last two decades, I have worked with highly successful entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, professional musicians, professional athletes, lawyers, and doctors who have accomplished a lot of success professionally and are wanting to find more balance and success in their marriage, family, and personal life. Or perhaps they reached the top of their game professionally and it wasn’t as fulfilling as they thought it would be.
People often tell me I’m not so much a therapist as much as a great educator, guide and motivator. The best compliment was from a client who called me “Yoda.” My answer was, “Teach you, I will.” Can it get any better than that?!
Megan is highly trained in Ericksonian hypnosis and values her membership in the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis as well as the International Society of Hypnosis.
Ericksonian hypnosis is unique in its conversational way for a client to relax their conscious brain just enough to allow their subconscious to receive and shift whatever it is they are needing at the time.
Megan also has tried and true, easy-to-use tools in her toolbox that doesn’t give busy professionals more to do, but rather helps them see their situation from new perspectives and find balance, fulfillment, and peace in their work, their relationships, and life.
As a practitioner, I am…
- Open-minded
- Supportive
- Direct
- Balanced
While I’m a big fan of mindfulness and meditation, I also know busy professionals don’t need one more thing to do! I have honed my skills and employed my use of conversational hypnosis to help clients who feel “scattered,” “overthink” things, can’t say no or can’t set boundaries feel more centered and a deep sense of calm. Usually within just a few sessions!
My straightforward approach that does wonders for individuals dealing with anger, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. It gives you tools for your toolbox so you are prepared to handle challenging situations as they arise. I am happy to announce I’m not the only provider who thinks this way. I have several wonderful like-minded providers on my team here at The Mindfulness Center. You are in excellent hands with any of us!

About Me
I was born in California and grew up in Seattle, graduating from the University of Washington. After living in Tucson, Arizona for a bit, I decided to get my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I have loved living all across the United States and have been lucky enough to travel the world (all 7 continents!). I love meeting new people and exploring new cultures. When I’m not working on my practice, my media contributions, attending a public speaking event or a board meeting, you’ll find me being silly with my family, reading (a lot!), practicing yoga (a little), and being creative (always!).
I am honored to be named one of the “Three Best Marriage Counselors in Louisville, KY” by threebestrated.com. Besides seeing clients in my private practice I also contribute to the media, such as appearances on WHAS, Martha Stewart Weddings Online, and more!
I am a published author of two books – RESET: Six Powerful Exercises to Refocus on What Works and Release What Doesn’t, and a fun and silly book for parents to read to kiddos at bedtime called “Don’t Go To Sleep.” It is a method I created for my 4 year-old daughter that worked wonderfully. Essentially it is a guided meditation that helps parents calm down and relax just as much as kiddos! My hope is that it will work just as well for other families as much as it did for ours. So far the feedback has been very positive! Give it a try!
